MARK CHAVARRIA
Mr. Mark is the owner of The Chavarria Institute of the Arts. He has directed and choreographed many musicals including "Grease", "Cinderella", "Peter Pan", "Annie", "The Sound of Music", "Aladdin" and many others. He has danced with artists such as N'Sync, Pink, Youngstown, Sugar Ray and performed on Nickelodeon. He was nominated for and won best original score for his work on the short film “Forever Beautiful”. He has performed in multiple musicals and theatrical productions nationwide and was most recently seen performing as Aladdin in Disney’s “Aladdin A Musical Spectacular” in the Hyperion Theater in California Adventure.

ALYSSA CHAVARRIA
Miss Alyssa is a native of Phoenix, Arizona where she began her dance training at the age of 14 at Tempe Dance Academy. She later studied dance at Studio D where she was a featured company dancer for nationally acclaimed choreographer, Kira DiMartino. She perfected her dance skills and techniques with Mr. Mark beginning in the summer of 2007.
Alyssa has trained in various forms of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, tumbling, contemporary and hip hop. Some of her numerous awards include placing in the top 10 with her solo at Dance Masters of America Nationals in New York in 2003. In 2007, she won the Kids USA National Pre-Teen title and the National Teen title the following year. She’s been a member of dance and cheer teams.
Alyssa has also danced in the Russian Ballet’s Phoenix performance of The Nutcracker. She most recently performed for 6 years in Disney’s “Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular” at Disney’s California Adventure with her husband, Mr. Mark. She started teaching and choreographing at the young age of 15 and developed a love for sharing her passion of dance with her students. She looks forward to continuing to develop and inspire young dancers at Chavarria Institute of the Arts for many years to come.

JULES CHAVARRIA
Miss Jules has danced professionally throughout America and Europe. Her most recent credits include the Mexico/Alaskan tour, and Caribbean/Mediterranean tour, dancing onboard Holland America Cruise Lines. Jules has enjoyed dancing for such artists as “N’Sync”, “PINK” and “Destiny’s Child”, on Nickelodeons “SNICK HOUSE” and “Teen Choice Awards”. Alongside dancing, Jules can be seen singing and acting throughout Los Angeles. She has performed in various musicals including “Annie”, “Peter Pan”, “Oliver”, “Cabaret”, “Grease”, “Cinderella” and “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”. Various other credits include dancing as a Soloist for the Orange County Civic Ballet and dancing in many concerts at the California Institute of the Arts. Jules continues to share her love of dance on stage and in the studio!

AARON CHAVARRIA
Mr. Aaron is currently a member and soloist with the touring tap company, Rhapsody in Taps; He has been performing with the company for five seasons. Mr. Chavarria has also been on faculty at the Orange County School of the Arts - Commercial Dance Department for the past eight years.
Mr. Chavarria’s film credits include: Sony Pictures “Hail, Caesar!” and “America’s Kids”. Stage credits include: “Oliver”, “Grease”, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat”, “Annie”, “Peter Pan”, “The Sound of Music”, “The Wizard of Oz”, “Cinderella”, “Cabaret” and “Beauty and the Beast”. Aaron has also danced professionally in “The Music Man”, and “Oklahoma”, with the West Coast Opera Theatre at the McCallum Performing Arts Center.
Mr. Chavarria was a co-choreographer and performer in the U.C. Irvine Medical Center’s “Baby I’m a Star” breast cancer awareness video. His choreography has been featured in the Spotlight Awards, by YoungArts scholarship winners and several national competitions. Additionally Aaron was guest performer in Final Cut Dance Concert with L.A. Dance Magic in 2007 and 2009 and has judged and taught for several competitions and conventions throughout the United States.

ASHLEY CHAVARRIA
Miss Ashley's film credits include "Sam Presents" a short film and nominee at Sun Dance film festival, a technique demonstrator on KAR TV and a TV pilot directed by Desiree Robbins. Theatrical credits include Final Cut 2010-2013 and The Nutcracker. Ashley toured with LA Dance Magic 2010-2013 as a member of their company. Choreography credits include a piece for "Bridge to Broadway" by Tim and Pamela Winslow, choreographing for competitive studios around the country and a dance team coach at Beckman High School.

SARAH MANN
Miss Sarah has been a classical ballet teacher for the past eight years and a dancer for the past twenty-one. Her background consists largely of classical Cecchetti technique. Additionally, she has experience with Vaganova, RAD, jazz, contemporary, and modern Limon, Horton, and release techniques.
While she has enjoyed being a performer with the Sunrise Ballet, iNC Dance Company, and Watson Dance Ensemble, the most rewarding and satisfying aspect of her career has been teaching and coaching.
She is currently serving as Ballet Mistress and Assistant Director for the Sunrise Ballet, teaching classical repertoire and variations, improvisation, choreography, contemporary and Modern techniques, organizing master classes and workshops.

ANDI LINDSTROM
Mrs. Andi comes from a vast and diverse music and theater background. She is classically trained in Opera as well as trained in musical theatre, pop styles, and rock. Her choral background expands over 15+ years in choirs such as the LA Children’s Choir, Redlands Master Chorale, Cal Poly Pomona Chamber Singers, and UCSD Chamber Singers. Andi has a B.A. in General Theatre from California State University, Fullerton and has performed in various musicals such as “Little Shop of Horrors”, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”, “Annie”, “Annie Get Your Gun” to name a few. Her Solo singing projects include Two full albums of her own original music. She was lucky to have worked with Kim Fowley who discovered “The Runaways”, on one of them. One of those songs played on KROQ’s Rodney On the Rock Program for several weeks. She has performed and recorded backups for many local artists which led to a Billboard R&B chart topping song and most recently has been playing keys and singing in The Band Orlina. She loves the arts and is so excited to be part of this great Studio.

VICTORIA RALSTON
Victoria Ralston, born and raised in San Diego, California, has been dancing for 22 years. She started her competitive dance training at the age of 12 at San Diego Dance Centre, and went on to pursue a collegiate dance career at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. She graduated in 2019 with a BFA in Dance and a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies. While in school, she had the opportunity to train and perform across Europe; in Italy at the Florence Dance Festival and in Berlin at B12 contemporary dance festival. While living in New York, she worked with renowned dance companies and artists such as Bobbi Jean Smith, Meg Stuart, Yin Yue, VIM VIGOR, and Shen Wei.
Victoria is now residing in Los Angeles and most recently trained under Diana Matos in MOTUS the Company; she is back on the west coast and reigniting her presence in the commercial dance world. Bringing her concert dance training and knowledge with her, she seeks to blend her love of movement research and improvisation into her contemporary choreography to revive a sense of honesty and vulnerability she feels is being lost. Victoria seeks to make positive ripples and change in the dance industry, inspiring young artists to find and trust their authentic voices.

KIRA MOLENDA
Miss Kira ahs grown up dancing since the age of 2. Her classical dance studies include very successfully passing her Grade 1 through Grade 8 Cecchetti Ballet Exams and has also received her TC1 Cecchetti Teachers Certificate.
She has competed with multiple groups as a soloist. She was on the Villa Park High School dance team for all 4 years and has received multiple awards as well. In the field of commercial hip hop dance, she has served as team captain for two years and has won multiple awards.
Miss Kira has trained with many industry professionals, was intived to perform at the Carnival Choreographer Ball in September 2019, and has won awards as a solo jazz dancer. One of the most rewarding things Miss Kira experiences as a dance teacher is the ability to see her dancers grow, not only in their training, but also in their personal development.

Rorey Chavarria
Rorey has recently played "Pepe" in WEST SIDE STORY, Norris Theater, Palos Verdes, California and "Jojo/Darcy" in NEWSIES, Patchougue Theatre, New York. He has also performed NEWSIES in California playing "Specs" and "Race" at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts. He's toured with L.A. Dance Magic company and is featured in the music video "SIT ME BACK DOWN" by Prince of Eden. Most recently, Rorey performed as "Plato / Macavity" in the Broadway classic CATS. Industrials include Amazon and KAR Dance. While home, Rorey is a dance and gymnastics instructor for several teams in the Southern California area.

Gary Roberts
Gary Roberts is a dancer, choreographer, performer, adjudicator and creative director. He holds a degree in Theater Arts from California State University Fullerton where he studied dance and acting. He teaches and choreographs many styles of dance, including tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, Lindy hop, and musical theater.
Gary started dancing at the young age of 2 years old, eventually gaining recognition and top awards for his tap dancing and entertaining performances. He went on to dance for Disney as well as in many industrials, including CBS, Oakley, and Nickelodeon Studios. Gary has performed as a member of Tap Overload, Central Avenue Dance Ensemble, Encore Tap Ensemble, and also as a guest artist at Irvine Valley College and Santa Monica College. His many stage credits include at least a dozen musicals, one of which earned him a "terrific tap dance" praise from the LA Times. Gary has also shared the state with jazz legends such as Norma Miller and Gunhild Carling.
Gary's choreography has been featured in the short film "A Night at Club Alabam," on the "Caroline Sunshine and Friends" tour for pop star Aliyah Moulden and on competition stages across the country. He has choreographed for the dance programs at San Juan Hills High School, Chadwick School, and currently choreographs children's musicals for Upstage Theater Schools. His work has also been showcased at private events, charity events, and nightclubs throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.
Previous teaching assignments include Orange County School of the Arts (faculty), Mount San Antonio College, and over 20 dance studios, including Millenium Dance Complex in Los Angeles. Gary has also worked as an Arts Mentor with the non-profit organization Oasis Center International, teaching the art of tap dance to elementary school kids in underserved communities. Since 2016, Gary has been an adjudicator for Star Dance Alliance, allowing him the opportunity to share his knowledge and passion for dance with young dancers across the country.
